A Workspace Transformation
When a well-established accountancy firm approached LWS, their workspace no longer reflected the professionalism and efficiency they delivered to clients daily. Specialising in financial services, client advisory, and business support, the firm required a space that balanced confidentiality, functionality, and a welcoming first impression.
The Challenge
The existing layout lacked a defined reception area, resulting in visitors entering directly into a busy open-plan office. This not only impacted privacy but also diminished the overall client experience. In addition, there was no dedicated boardroom space for meetings, presentations, or confidential discussions.
The brief was clear:
- Create a welcoming and private reception area
- Improve space planning within the open-plan office
- Introduce a functional, modern boardroom
- Maintain natural light flow throughout the workspace
A Thoughtful Design Solution
LWS developed a design that carefully balanced openness with privacy. A key feature of the transformation was the introduction of a high-performance acoustic glass partition, allowing for separation between reception and office without sacrificing light.
To elevate the aesthetic, we incorporated:
- Crittall-style black framing for a contemporary, industrial edge
- A new suspended ceiling system to modernise lighting and enhance the brand identity
- A clearly defined reception zone that offers both staff and visitors a calm, professional environment
This approach ensured the office felt structured yet open welcoming without being exposed.
Creating a Functional Boardroom
A new boardroom was introduced as a central feature of the redesign. Designed with both functionality and comfort in mind, the space includes:
- Acoustic wall panelling forming a sleek media wall
- Integrated technology to support seamless communication
- A high-spec boardroom table enabling collaborative working and connectivity
- Carefully considered lighting and finishes to create a professional yet inviting atmosphere
The result is a versatile meeting space that supports everything from client consultations to internal strategy sessions.
From Concept to Completion
This project is a strong example of LWS’s end-to-end capability. From initial design concepts through to final installation, every detail was considered to ensure the finished space aligned with the client’s operational needs and brand identity.
