Hunt Solicitors required a refreshed workplace that would create a professional and welcoming experience for clients while providing a practical, comfortable and accessible environment for their team. Working closely with the partners, LWS developed a considered interior scheme that made better use of the existing space and brought greater consistency to the practice’s client-facing and working areas.
The Challenge
A key requirement was to provide a ground-floor office with improved accessibility for disabled clients, while ensuring privacy and maintaining the professional feel expected within a busy legal practice.
The existing reception area also presented an opportunity to rethink how the front of the building welcomed clients and represented the Hunt Solicitors brand. At the rear of the property, the team required a new open-plan workspace that offered privacy from the reception and supported their day-to-day working needs.
The boardroom also needed to be redesigned so that the interior felt cohesive throughout the practice.
With the office located on a busy high street in Holywood, careful consideration also had to be given to site access, deliveries and the coordination of contractors before works commenced.
Our Solution
Working closely with the partners, our design team reimagined the ground floor to balance accessibility, privacy, functionality and brand identity.
We created a welcoming new reception space with a bespoke reception desk and carefully considered branding, while ensuring the team’s new open-plan workspace to the rear remained private and separate from client-facing areas.
A dedicated ground-floor office was incorporated to improve accessibility for clients, while the boardroom was redesigned using the same interior language and material palette to create consistency across the workplace.
Bespoke joinery played an important role in the scheme, including the reception desk and a custom storage wall. Designing these elements specifically for the space allowed us to work precisely with the available dimensions while selecting finishes and materials that complemented and reinforced the Hunt Solicitors brand.
Before work began, we produced concept boards and realistic 3D visualisations, allowing the partners to review the proposed interiors, materials and key design details and finalise decisions with confidence.
Detailed pre-planning and coordination with all contractors also ensured site access, deliveries and installation could be carefully managed within the constraints of the busy high-street location.

The completed workplace provides Hunt Solicitors with a professional, welcoming and cohesive environment that works equally well for clients and the team.
The redesigned reception creates a strong first impression, while the accessible ground-floor office provides a practical and inclusive space for client meetings. Behind the reception, the new open-plan workspace gives the team a functional and private environment, complemented by a refreshed boardroom that carries the same design approach throughout.
Bespoke joinery, considered material choices and subtle brand integration give the finished space its own identity while making maximum use of the available footprint.
